Pasta Chips – Easy To Make

1 lb. bowtie pasta
Vegetable oil, for frying
1 tsp. Italian seasoning
1 tsp. garlic powder
1/2 c. finely grated Parmesan
kosher salt
Freshly ground black pepper
marinara, for serving

In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook pasta until al dente, about 8 minutes. Drain pasta.
In a large, deep skillet, pour about ½” vegetable oil and heat over medium. When the oil is shimmering, add about 1 cup al dente pasta in a single cook. Cook until golden brown and crispy, about 2 minutes per side. Drain on paper towels, then season immediately with some Italian seasoning, garlic powder, Parmesan, salt and pepper. Repeat, working in batches, with the rest of the pasta.

MAY 4TH IS NATIONAL STAR WARS DAY: May the 4th be with you.

JOKE OF THE DAY: When shopping for Mother’s Day, remember, mum is likely to kill a plant and feel bad. Mum could also kill a bottle of wine and feel good, very good.

If you are planning an outdoor event this summer that requires a temporary bar or buffet area, this could be your answer. How many blocks you will need depends on the size of the bar you wish to create. Once you have done that, wash (and paint) the blocks. Painting them in bright, vibrant colors allows you to re-stack them and use them for planters or in raised gardens afterward. Cut a sheet of plywood to fit (stain or paint it) and there you have an instant bar/buffet table. No need to rent folding tables and this works well indoors as well.

This is a clever idea to free up space for more shoes. We can never have enough shoes, right girls? Instead of putting the shoes in pairs, right/left, right/left. Turn every second shoe so they are right/left…heel toe. This saves space and allows you to see which pair of shoes you need in an instant.

Whether you use liquid fabric softener or dryer sheets, fabric softeners work well at softening fibers, reducing static, and adding a bit of fragrance to your laundry. But using it on certain materials can actually have a negative effect on the fibers. Here are four times you should skip it:

1. Microfiber: What’s great about microfiber is that its intricate fibers have the ability to trap dust and absorb spills. However, if you toss it in the wash with fabric softener, you could end up destroying the effectiveness and durability of its fibers.

2. Athletic Sportswear: Many types of athletic wear have wicking technology to absorb sweat from your skin and keep you cool when you’re working out. If you use fabric softener on these garments, it’ll leave a coating that will prevent them from wicking.

3. Flame-Retardant Clothing: To reduce the risk that kid’s sleepwear will catch on fire, it’s required to be flame-resistant. Washing your children’s pajamas and nightgowns with fabric softener will make them more flammable. We repeat: It will make them MORE FLAMMABLE.

4. Towels: While everyone loves to dry off with a soft towel, liquid fabric softener and dryer sheets can reduce the absorption factor of terry cloth and other fluffy fabrics.

Dump Buttercream Frosting On Plastic Wrap, Then Roll Up Tightly For The Ultimate Icing Trick

This is a genius icing trick that is going to totally revolutionize how you decorate baked goods. You can even get into rosettes with this simple icing trick.

Plastic wrap! Plastic wrap is the key. Next time you’re preparing to a frost a cake and need to use a pastry bag, grab some cling film first.

Lay the Cling Film (Saran Wrap) out on your counter, and dump a generous dollop of your favorite buttercream frosting in the middle of the plastic. Next, fold the film edges over with a generous amount of overlap so the frosting doesn’t leak out. Grab each end of the film between your thumb and forefinger and spin the plastic shut around the frosting. The spun ends will resemble a ‘string’. Feed the string and frosting package through the frosting tip and bag. Pull the ‘string’ so a bit of the frosting begins to show and cut off the tip if the film. This will make it so much easier to pack the frosting into the pastry tube. Change tips and frosting colors without much mess at all.

Roll a baby onesie over a sock. End result is the absolute best baby shower gift ever.

If you want to make the cutest little baby shower gift, then you have got to make these little Cupcake Onesies!

I can’t get over how adorable they are. You can make them for girls or boys with whatever onesies you can find. It’s a really adorable gift that won’t break the bank. No new parent can possibly have too many onesies!

Materials Needed:
Baby onesies
Baby socks
Cupcake paper cups
Fold your onesie into thirds length ways.

Place a baby sock at one end so you have the toe end barely poking out of the onesie and the open end poking out enough to roll up. Start to roll it up.

Use the open end of the sock and use it to go over the entire roll so it holds everything together.

Place your little onesie cupcake into a cupcake paper.

Make a few more and put them in a little box as if they were real cupcakes. The new mom and dad are going to love it!

Easy Chart For Food Portioning

If you are looking to watch portion control especially at supper time, here is an easy guide to help out without measuring or weighing your food. Naturally, the 2 portions of vegetables take up most of the dinner plate, a palm of protein, a small fist of carbs and a thumb tip of fat rounds out your dinner. This gives you a reasonably well balanced main meal and a portion of fruit to finish it off. And lots of water all through the day will help with digestion.

Now In Stock – Table Top Fire Pots

Table top fire pots have been an ongoing product at Charter House for years. They make great wedding, housewarming gifts or just a gift you want to give yourself. The pots are an attractive addition to any outdoor space and can be color co-ordinated to match your decor.

MANUFACTURING: Each fire pot is crafted by hand and no two are the same. Small color differences and imperfections are considered part of the hand-crafted appeal. The pot does not get hot, it is safe for any surface.

COLORS: Featured here are six colors. Brown Emerge, Coral, Midnight, Chestnut, Ocean and Moss. Coral is a limited edition color, if it is accepted well, it may be added as a permanent color. The Brown Emerge is a split between brown and green, some fire pots show way more green and some show more brown. Either one is beautiful. There are other shapes, colors and sizes of fire pots available in-store.

CARE: Cover or store your fire pot when not in use. The lids are not water tight, nor are they meant to be water tight. Store indoors in the winter, they are not meant for extreme cold temperatures. Wash by hand with soapy water when dirty.

GEL FUEL: Each can of fuel lasts 2.5 – 3 hours. You may start and stop your gel as many times as you need by putting the lid on the can and extinguishing the flame. Use a with a BBQ lighter to light your gel. It comes in unscented and citronella scent; customers tell us the citronella works well to keep mosquitoes away.
