AVAILABLE AT CHARTER HOUSE INTERIORS ALL YEAR: Firepots are one of the best products on the market today. Several colors, sizes and shapes are available; pictured here are two of the best sellers. They burn isopropyl gel which has been engineered to be used indoors or outdoors. The gel comes in an aluminum can which fits into into a metal cup in the firepot. No special set up is required; use a barbeque lighter to light the gel. There are also one litre refill bottles in unscented and citronella scents; customers tell us the citronella does keep mosquitos away. The cans of fuel offer between 2-3 hours burn time and the refill bottles 6-8 hours. Simply put the lid over the flame to cut off the oxygen source and extinguish it.

OUTDOORS: One firepot on a patio table offers both light and heat. Use more than one to outline steps or make a statement around a pool or flower beds. 2.) Take it on winter road trips, you never know when you may have to spend a couple of hours on the side of the road. The gel puts out much more heat than any candle. Leave the car window cracked a bit for proper ventilation.

AS GIFTS: 1.) Perfect for wedding gifts (especially second weddings where the bride and groom already have everything). A firepot, starter can of gel and refill bottle costs less than $85.00 tax included. 2.) Mother’s Day is fast approaching and Father’s Day not far behind. 3.) These make thoughtful housewarming gifts as well. 4.) Gift yourself, you deserve it.

INDOORS: 1.) At Christmas: Place either an artificial wreath or live cedar branches flat on a buffet and sit the firepot in the center. Decorate the greenery with mini-lights, ornaments and ribbon. Because the pot does not get hot on the sides and bottom, it is safe for any surface. 2.) Need a spa break? Put a fluffy towel on a closed toilet seat, followed by the firepot, run a nice hot bubble bath and push ‘play’ on some of your favorite music. 3.) Decorate a firepot for Halloween by cutting out orange paper triangles plus a toothy grin and sticking them to the pot with doubled over Scotch tape. Light it up and there’s your pumpkin.

NOTE: With any open flame, caution is needed. Keep out of reach of children, pets and drunken party-goers. Always use in a well ventilated area. Do not refill while lit. After fuel is used up, let the vessel cool down for about 10 minutes.
