How to make:

Take 3 sponges and cut length wise into 3 even strips. Lay 3 strips down where it looks like the whole sponge again. You can alternate the colors to be more festive. Continue by stacking the strips from the other 3 sponges on top of the first 3 strips. You should have a 3 x 3 stack. Take a rubber band and put around the center of the stack of sponges. Depending on size of rubber band, you may need to double wrap to make tight.
Separate the sponge strips by pulling on each one into a different direction.
Now just dunk in bucket of water or throw in the pool for great water fun!!

After summer is over, re-purpose the sponge bombs into washcloths in the bath for the kids or use to clean dishes, floors…anything that a sponge will clean really. The odd shapes can get into cracks and crevices. Make new sponge bombs next summer, they are fun and inexpensive.
