The first year Charter House Interiors carried recycled plastic Adirondack chairs, it was definitely sticker shock for a great many people. Wood Adirondacks sold for less than fifty dollars at the end of the summer season so the 299.00 price tag seemed way too expensive. The price has since increased to 329.00 and people do not mind paying for the extraordinary quality now. The Adirondacks are made from Grade 2 recyclables such as Javex and Downy bottles. They are cleaned, shredded, melted, have color beads and UV inhibitors added to the mix of 85% used and 15% new plastic. Only stainless steel screws are used so they’ll never rust. The furniture comes partly assembled and the customer has the choice of DIY or having us assemble it for them. Millions of pounds of plastic is saved from landfills each year. CRP Plastics, the company that manufactures Adirondacks paid a visit to the Dragon’s Den a couple of years ago which allowed an expansion and now the delivery time is considerably shorter. There are 16 colors to choose from and many different styles. Last year they introduced a chair that is much more upright to accommodate people who have difficulty getting into or out of a regular Adirondack. We keep a good range of styles and colors in the store. For more information, check out these chairs, tables and bar sets on our website while you are here.

  1. Where are you located? what is the delivery cost? You pls give me the measurement of the back of chair to front . Thank you!

    • Hi Dave, we are located in Saskatoon at 331 1st Avenue North. I believe there is a map under CONTACT US. There is a $25.00 surcharge (from our supplier) per order to have the items drop shipped to an out-of-town address, providing the supplier can ship there. Unfortunately, we do not have a delivery service. The Adirondacks come partly assembled in boxes small enough to fit into many vehicles so pick up is easy. The Adirondack Rockers are: 36″W x 31″D x 40.5″H. Chairs are about the same dimensions. For out-of-town orders we take credit card numbers over the phone and place the order. If we can be of service, please contact us.

  2. how do you clean these chairs what with and is there a distributor near Toronto, Ont. Canada We bought some for our house in Florida and I would like to buy some for our house in Canada

    • You can clean these chairs with a hose. Quite often a good rain does it for you. For a deeper cleaning you can use a soft bristled scrub brush and soapy water. We could either arrange to have the chairs drop shipped to your city or try http://www.crpproducts.com and the website will be able to direct you to nearby dealer. Thank you for contacting us. If we can be of any help, please let us know.
