Prevent Your Dog From Running Away With This Gadget

If your dog is too small, and you would like to prevent him from escaping, use the escape-prevention harness, it looks silly but useful. Or…if you are on vacation at someone else’s home and are not sure if your dog will stay within the yard, then this is a good solution. **CAUTION: Be sure to check on your dog often in case they have gotten themselves stuck somewhere in the yard.**

Knotted Necklaces – How To Untangle Them

Don’t abandon your knotted necklace just because you’re in a rush. Sprinkle a bit of baby powder over the knot (or knots!) to help loosen it instead, then use a safety pin to finish pulling it apart. The texture of the powder will act as a lubricant and make the task way easier.

When (And When Not To) Cook Vegetables In Boiling Water

Another lazy blog today. I’ve let the photo explain everything you needed to know about cooking vegetables. Any vegetable that grows underground, start off in cold water and bring to a boil, turn heat down to medium/high heat and cook until done. Any vegetable that grows above ground, place in boiling water. My mom always cooked corn from cold water, I’ll have to try adding corn to boiling water. Who knew?

Why You Should Wash New Clothes Before Wearing Them

SHARING…I do not claim all recipes or any post to be my own…I post who or where the sites originate if they are known. Found this on Facebook and have no idea where it originated but this article is full of good advice.

Most People Don’t Wash New Clothes Before Wearing Them. Here’s Why That’s A Huge Mistake!
Do you wear clothes you just bought without washing them first? This is why you shouldn’t.

Many people are convinced that when they buy new clothes they are getting clean garments. But this assumption was debunked by CBS 21, as they took some “new” items to a lab to have them swabbed and tested for bacteria. And if you’ve never put too much thought into how sanitary your new items are, these findings might be a bit disturbing for you. Every item that was tested had bacteria, and that also includes a sealed package of female underwear. Ironically, the only thing that didn’t test positive for bacteria were some second-hand shoes.

Clothing items are handled and tried on by different people at stores. That’s why experts recommend washing new items with hot water and even bleach before wearing them for the first time.

Sanitizing shoes is much easier, as you just need to wipe the inside with an antibacterial product. But bacteria is not the only thing you should be concerned about: clothing manufacturers use formaldehyde to prevent bacteria growth in clothes, so getting rid of those chemicals first by washing your new clothes wouldn’t be a bad idea.

WEDNESDAY MARCH 23 IS: National Puppy Day.

JOKE OF THE DAY: I heard the more colorful your salad is, the better it is for you. So I swapped out my croutons for M&M’s.
