Smiley Face Tennis Balls Brighten Your Work And Play Space

How fun is this! You do not have to have kids to enjoy these fun little desk organizers. Simply cut a slit for the mouth about 2/3 of the way down the tennis ball. Incidentally, tennis balls come in other colors besides yellow. Also check pet stores, they carry tennis balls for dogs in multi-colors. Purchase the eyes at a craft store, use buttons or felt eyes you’ve made yourself (i.e. a mask, add tears, stars, or different colors). Get the kids to help with the buying and making of the tennis ball faces. This is a great rainy day project. The faces can be attached to a wall with a small screw and washer or use a suction cup on glass and mirrors. As you can see in the photos, these little face work hard holding almost anything lightweight. Adults can have fun with them as well…they can hold recipe cards in the kitchen, act as a reminder or note station at the door, hold elastics or hairpins in the bathroom and never lose a pen or your keys again. Use them to identify food at a banquet, put a recipe card in his ‘mouth’ with the name of the dish (maybe a copy of the recipe) and list possible allergy alerts. That will be all your guests will be talking about all evening. And they are washable!

THOUGHT OF THE DAY: The only thing as good as a long weekend is that it is followed by a short work week.

ANOTHER THOUGHT OF THE DAY: Be careful who you consider ‘friends’, I’d rather have 4 quarters than 100 pennies any day.

HAPPY JULY 3 BIRTHDAY TO: Aaron Tippin 55, Everyone’s Favorite Alien ‘Tom Cruise’ 51. Jan Smithers 64, Thomas Gibson 51, Julian Assange 42, Olivia Munn 33, Kurtwood Smith 70, Hunter Tylo 51, Yeardley ‘Lisa Simpson’ Smith 50, Montel Williams 57, Johnny Lee 67, and Elizabeth Edwards (1949-2010)
